About Nephele

Development

Nephele aims to develop a better understanding of how the cloud can be utilized for the storage, management, and analysis of biomedical data, and to investigate the possibility of the cloud as a long-term computing solution for other research domains as well.

To achieve this goal, Nephele is built and managed by an interdisciplinary group of software developers, bioinformatics specialists, analysts, and project managers from the Bioinformatics and Computational Biosciences Branch of the NIAID Office of Cyber Infrastructure and Computational Biology in the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) part of the National Institutes of Health (NIH)
